Robbin Lassen

Robbin is a producer for Notorious USA and research assistant to author, Gregg Olsen. She was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and has loved true crime since she can remember. She obtained a paralegal degree and learned the ins and outs of what it takes to properly research cases and interview subjects. She believes that a good story starts with the facts. Robbin is adamant about collecting the truth and being objective through her research process.

Anne Bremner

Anne is a trial attorney, and one of the nation's most recognized legal analysts. Her practice emphasizes civil rights, catastrophic loss litigation and criminal law. In her 35 years of practice, she has been lead counsel for many highly-publicized court cases. She was a Prosecuting Attorney for the Criminal Division of the King County Prosecutor's Office in Seattle from 1983 to 1988. Anne specialized in prosecuting sex crimes, where she successfully tried over 200 cases. She is a regular legal analyst on TV, including FOX, CNN, MSNBC and HLN. Her first book is due in mid-2021.

Kevin Pierce

Kevin Pierce is the voice of all Notorious USA audiobooks. He comes to audiobooks from years of hosting public radio and TV programs. Now dubbed "The Voice of the Apocalypse" for prolific narration in post apocalyptic science fiction, he's also frequently heard narrating true crime stories, including books by Gregg Olsen, Jack Olsen, Charles Bosworth, Jr., Steve Jackson and Kevin Sullivan. His much less gruesome real life centers on conversations with a Boston terrier named Max. He makes his home in sunny Florida.

Mark Horner

Mark Horner is the author of the true crime thriller September Sacrifice. He has won numerous awards for his work as a television journalist, including his investigative reporting on the David Parker Ray “Sex Torture” case in New Mexico. Horner has appeared on Dateline , Investigation Discovery’s I’d Kill for You and Sins and Secrets,  Snapped, TruTV’s The Investigators and many others. He has also been a guest lecturer at the University of New Mexico where he shared his experiences reporting from Ground Zero. Horner also worked as a journalist in Albuquerque, Green Bay, Tucson and Yakima, Washington.

M. William Phelps

Crime writer, serial killer expert and New York Times bestselling investigative journalist M. William Phelps is the author of thirty books. Winner of the New England Book Festival Award for I'll Be Watching You and the Editor's Choice Award from True Crime Book Reviews for Death Trap, Phelps has appeared on nearly 100 television shows, including CBS's Early Show, ABC's Good Morning America, NBC's Today Show, The View, TLC, BIO Channel, and History Channel. Phelps created, produced and starred in the Investigation Discovery series Dark Minds, and is one of the stars of ID's Deadly Women. Katherine Ramsland

Dr. Katherine Ramsland is a professor of forensic psychology at DeSales University in Pennsylvania. She has published over 1,000 articles, stories, and reviews, and 63 books, including The Psychology of Death Investigation, Forensic Investigation: Methods from ExpertsConfession of a Serial Killer: The Untold Story of Dennis Rader, the BTK KillerThe Mind of a MurdererThe Forensic Science of CSIInside the Minds of Serial Killers, and The Forensic Psychology of Criminal Minds. She leads workshops to law enforcement, psychologists, coroners, and attorneys on cognitive distortion and “observational intelligence,” and has consulted for several TV series, including The AlienistCSI and Bones.

Ron Franscell

This lifelong newspaperman burst onto the literary scene in 1998 with his first novel Angel Fire, a poignant, mythic tale of two brothers wrestling with personal ghosts in the small town where they grew up. Angel Fire was subsequently named among the San Francisco Chronicle's 100 Best Novels of the 20th Century West. After his 1999 mystery, The Deadline, Ron became a senior writer for the Denver Post, writing about the entangled past, present and future of the West. Kevin M. Sullivan

A writer of history and true crime, Kevin M. Sullivan is the author of sixteen books, a former investigative journalist for both print and online media, and is a recognized authority on serial sex killer, Ted Bundy. Indeed, his “break out” book, The Bundy Murders: A Comprehensive History, published by McFarland in 2009, was the catalyst that brought him much attention in the true crime world, leading to numerous radio programs and contacts from documentarians in the United States and the United Kingdom. Portions of this work also appear in the college textbook, Abnormal Psychology: Clinical Perspectives on Psychological Disorders, published by McGraw-Hill in November 2012.

Kathryn Casey

Kathryn Casey is an award-winning, Houston-based journalist, the author of six highly acclaimed true crime books, and the creator of the Sarah Armstrong mystery series. Singularity, the first in the Armstrong series, was included in Booklist's best crime novel debuts of 2009, and Library Journal chose the third in the series, The Killing Storm, for its list of the best books of 2010. Casey's protagonist is a Texas Ranger/profiler headquartered in Company A, Houston. In addition, Ann Rule calls Casey, "one of the best in the true crime genre."

Jack Olsen

The award-winning author of thirty-three books, Jack Olsen’s books have published in fifteen countries and eleven languages. Olsen's journalism earned the National Headliners Award, Chicago Newspaper Guild's Page One Award, commendations from Columbia and Indiana Universities, the Washington State Governor's Award, the Scripps-Howard Award and other honors. Mike Hren

Nationally recognized creative director and strategist, Mike Hren’s affection for true crime dates back to his formative years growing up on the mean streets of Kent, Washington. He is the Creative Director for Notorious USA and product developer for the platform. Hren is a specialist in creative discovery and finding the why in every project. As a brand developer, digital products consultant and mobile experience designer, Hren has won numerous national awards, including citations from PRSA, Communication Arts Awards, and GDUSA.

Don Lasseter

After retiring early from a telephone company career, lineman to mid-executive, Lasseter traveled the world exploring WWII battlefields. Pondering a second career, he flashed back on his main reading interest; true crime books, and decided to write in that genre. He, produced 50 plus magazine stories, leading to first book, Property Of The Folsom Wolf, in 1995. Nineteen more followed, including his best seller, Die For Me, about serial killers Leonard Lake and Charles Ng. He has appeared on twenty television documentaries and talk shows, including ID, Oxygen, Biography, and Discovery, and NBC. He has also been a guest lecturer for criminology classes at California State University, Fullerton.

Harry MacLean

Harry MacLean had a successful career as a lawyer before turning to writing. MacLean graduated from Lawrence University with a degree in psychology. He then attended the University of Denver College of Law, from which he graduated magna cum laude. He went to work as a trial attorney for the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. He returned to private practice in Denver and accepted an adjunct professor position at the DU College of Law. He was appointed magistrate in the Denver juvenile court, where he served for two years, before becoming First Assistant Attorney General for the Colorado Department of Law. His book “In Broad Daylight” It won the Edgar Award.

Chris Renfro

Chris Renfro is Gregg Olsen's executive assistant. She responds to author and Notorious USA queries, supports the research of new projects, creates social media postings, manages annual events, book club and media appearances, and reader giveaways. She does all of that with panache and a smile. Frankly, we’d need GPS to get around Notorious USA without her.


Cannon Jones

Cannon Jones is a production assistant for North of Nowhere. His interest and passion lie in storytelling and media. When he isn't living the rural lifestyle Olalla has to offer, he is knee-deep in setting up schedules, conducting interviews, and telling his own stories. Born and raised in Olalla, Washington, and taking advantage of the opportunities the Pacific Northwest has to offer, Cannon maneuvers through his part of the team with a refreshing excitement for the industry.
